Ericsson Hungary R&D is looking for a

Master Software Developer

for the Mobile Media Gateway product.

Media Gateway for Mobile Networks (M-MGw) is a high performance media plane product deployed globally in almost 400 networks. It is a solution to those challenges operators are facing today and in the future, such as how to optimize voice production costs and how to safeguard revenues in evolving telephony environment.

Main tasks:

• Our Software Developers create and implement innovative solutions for future telecommunications networks.
• You will be part of a team where you create virtualized solutions and develop the new cloud services of tomorrow.
• The challenge is to implement a high performance media plane product on virtualized platform yet maintaining the reliability and performance criteria of a telecom grade solution.
• Our teams work according to Agile and Lean principles and are thus empowered to define their state of the art development environment and practices.

Requirements:

• You have a genuine interest in computer science and have practical experience with programming languages such as C, C++ and/or Python.
• You are familiar with Linux and preferably the development of Linux applications in real-time environment.
• You are expected to be familiar with some virtualization technologies especially using Linux, KVM, VMWare, ESXi and/or OpenStack.
• It is also an advantage to be familiar with some of the following terms: Agile Development, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development, Build Automation and Design Patterns.
• Experience with Open Source projects is a plus.
