Job description:

As a Network Analyst / Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide L3/break fix support for Operations, including developing and implementing non-standard solutions for production problems
  • Develop and perform implementation activities for all service and customer projects (based on Engineering deliverables)
  • Perform Quality Assurance activities for Engineering designs which includes identifying and submitting network design issues to Engineering
  • Openness on-call and provide after-hours support as needed
  • Primary contact for vendor in support of operational problems
  • Develop and maintain Technical Support process and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain process for hand-over of technology and service to Operations
  • Develop and maintain Network Service Support Models
  • Develop and maintain workflow automation
  • Assist with development and maintenance

Infrastructure Network Engineer

The role:

  • The Infrastructure Network Engineer is responsible for the day to day operation of company’s network and security infrastructure.
  • This role is part of a team of Network subject matter experts who provide both 24/7 follow the sun support to the business as well as developing and improving the globally distributed network and security landscape.
  • Participate in the delivery of highly available, scalable and supportable solutions and driving technology advancements, as well troubleshooting, problem resolution and root cause analysis.
  • You will also contribute towards the implementation of a broad range of infrastructure projects, working closely with counter-parts in all regions.

Technical experince:

  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in a commercial environment as a Network Engineer
  • Awareness of Service Delivery methodologies (e.g. ITIL)
  • Support, maintain and improve local and wide area networks, routing protocols, MPLS, site to site VPN links; Internet and voice connections; client leased lines
  • Support complex and distributed networks, dynamic routing protocols, VLANs, QoS/CoS
  • Monitoring and analysing traffic across large scale distributed networks (using PRTG, Cisco Works, Cisco Prime, Orion, SCOM, WhatsUp, sniffers etc.)
  • Maintaining & supporting Security Systems and solutions including anti-virus, Next Generation Firewalls, IDS/IPS/Web Application Firewalls, patch management, server hardening
  • Cisco AAA (authentication, Authorization, Accounting), RADIUS, TACACS+, SSH, Proxy, vulnerability scanning/penetration testing etc.
  • Experience with CheckPoint, Citrix NetScaler & Imperva
  • Experience with Public, Private and Hybrid cloud infrastructures, preferably Microsoft Azure and Office 365, ExpressRoute, etc.

WLAN Engineer

Our global partner, a leading banking services company, is looking for an

WLAN Engineer

who will be responsible for developing new Wireless LAN products and solutions within the framework of an overall WLAN strategy and controlling the overall architecture through formal standards.

The job:

  • Develop new Wireless LAN solutions and certify these for use on the production network through formal testing and global standards.
  • Reviewing emerging technologies with vendors and service providers.
  • Produce relevant whitepapers for emerging network technologies; produce best practices guides, configuration and guideline documents.
  • Participate in the global engineering forum by representing CATE Wireless LAN team.
  • Carry out device component and technology certification testing as required by the Global Engineering forum (GNAST) and the Wireless LAN team leader.

Senior Network Management Engineer

Senior Network Management Engineer

who will be part of the the Health of the Plant Team, which is a global group that provides a number of different services to maintain stability of the environment and report on the overall health of the Voice and Data infrastructure. The team is responsible for ensuring all services, configurations, capacity and routine functions are either monitored or documented across all platforms, services and geographic locations.

Heath of the Plant Senior Engineers will be dedicated to supporting but not limited to change management, proactive network management, acceptance testing, and incident management activities. Candidate will be responsible for all hygiene related changes to the network, as well as miscellaneous requests involving configurations changes on large quantity scale. Implement and document any recommendations for change management, lifecycle management, and problem management issues as required.

The job:

  • Global maintenance of device configuration as per certified standards and engineering recommendations.
  • Create, administer, and execute changes in mass-scale device quantity.
  • Act as team representative for weekly change management review meetings.
  • Provide coordination and act as a team interface between Network Operations and the Engineering, Deployment, and Security teams.
  • Conduct network audits and risk assessment as required and remediate if necessary.
  • Review posted documentation to ensure network is in adherence to and compliant of any mandates.
  • Create, debug, and maintain scripts to optimize work flow.
  • Facilitate and coordinate work with external vendors for areas that are not under current management.
  • Participate in design and peer reviews.
  • Adapt and transform operational and/or functional needs into solutions.
  • Support the project team and provide escalation support.
  • Perform mentoring and training tasks for peers as required.

The requirements:

  • At least BSc degree in IT.

  • 3 years of experience configuring and troubleshooting routers and switches in a production WAN/LAN/MAN environment. 
  • Deep understanding of the OSI model, including TCP/IP, client/server designs, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), LAN technologies (FDDI, Ethernet), WAN technologies (Internet, POS, ATM, ISDN, private lines), VLANs, DNS, VPNs, IP telephony, IP multicast, NAT, and firewalls. 
  • Network management through scripting (PERL preferred) and implementation of SNMP is a necessity. 
  • Experience with Unix/Linux command line.

Advantage:

  • Familiarity with packet analysis and Enterprise Network Management Systems.
  • Understanding of routing protocols OSPF, RIP, BGP, multicast, MPLS (L3 VPN, L2 VPN, VPLS, preferably from a provider point of view).
  • Understanding of layer 2 protocols Frame Relay, HDLC, PPP, spanning-tree protocols.
  • Understanding of Wireless technologies and devices (CAPWAP, WLC, AP).
  • Device platforms including Avaya, Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Cylades, F5, HP/BNT/IBM/Nortel Blade Switches.
  • Project management/coordination skills.
