for Network Deployment Delivery Platform.

NDDP is a multi-domain, multi-technology, workflow/process driven, flexible and modular solution for Site Design, Installation, Product Configuration, Integration and Quality Assurance in Network Rollout.

Service Delivery Tools provides innovative business enabling solutions for the Ericsson Service Business. We act as prime integrator for Service Tools, taking end to end accountability from solution design to operation, always putting our customer first.

Main tasks:

  • Develop and maintain strong business relationship with BUGS Business Lines and Global Services Operations.
  • Develop SDT Strategy and ensure SDT Platform leadership, delivering tools solutions that meet business needs today and tomorrow.
  • Drive SDT Key Focus Area Programs, ensuring End-2-End execution from identified business need, through development and deployment of a solution, to created business value.
  • As a Program Director for Network Deployment Delivery Platform (NDDP) you are End-2-End accountable for the NDDP Program, including but not limited to Solution Architecture and Solution Lifecycle Management, Deployment and Delivery Management and Operations.

Tools and Methods Engineer

Service Delivery Tools Unit develops various tools supporting services delivered by Ericsson to its customers. The tools cover a wide scope such as network design and configuration and remote access. As part of the Software development team you will be responsible for quality assurance of the Network Deployment Delivery Platform product.

The main purpose of the Tools and Methods Engineer is to design tools supporting service deliveries and also to identify new business opportunities for Ericsson in the given service area. The Tools & Methods Engineer participates in the following activities of the product development lifecycle: analyzing initial requirements and business needs, specifying functionality, verifying software solutions, supporting tool users and to provide marketing support and competence development related to them.

The responsibility is further to ensure that all solution deliveries to customers are made in a professional manner, achieving customer satisfaction and securing profitability for Ericsson. In addition to service delivery the Tools and Methods Engineer shall assist in developing new services within this and other areas. The Tools and Methods Engineer shall also seek to identify sales opportunities and generate repeat business while working on assignment.

Main tasks:

  • Analyses of service delivery tools as needed.
  • Design and specify new tool features, study and analyze user requirements and telecommunications background in deep level.
  • Participate in feasibility and pre-studies.
  • Define tool test cases and participate in testing.
  • Giving user and project support, hold presentations and courses about the product.
  • Keep regular contact with engineering & methods teams, tool users.
  • Understand the business value of tool requirements in details and represent it within the software development team and towards the stakeholders too.
  • Trains and supports end users of the tools.
  • Improves service delivery processes.

Requirements:

  • MSc or BSc degree in computer science, engineering or related technical field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Telecom network domain knowledge in Radio Access Network product area is essential.
  • RAN related Service Delivery experience, especially in Network Design or Product Configuration Engineering or Network Integration process area is an advantage.
  • Experience in Agile software development is an advantage.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.

The tools cover a wide scope such as network planning, network performance monitoring and secure connection to external networks. As part of the solution development team you will be responsible for design and integration of the connectivity and platform of our solutions.

Main tasks:

  • Design and configuration of network elements.
  • Configuration of servers in a virtual environment.
  • Design and integration of security functions.
  • Configuration of Linux/Unix machines and kernel.
  • Creating scripts for monitoring, deployment and backup functions.
  • Writing installation documentations.
  • Supporting the deployment projects.

Main tasks:

  • The Test Engineer will work in an Agile SW/product development environment.
  • Definition and implementation of test cases.
  • Preparation, configuration and maintenance of the test environment.
  • Performing system and network integration and configuration tasks.
  • Performing tests, logging test progress.
  • Submitting trouble reports and assisting developers in trouble shooting.
  • Reviewing the end user documentation and assisting handover to IT operations.
  • Discussing design decisions with system engineers and software designers.
  • Estimating the time needed for the execution of the test task.
  • Contributing to defining the overall test strategy.

Requirements:

  • MSc or BSc degree in computer science, engineering or related technical field.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in similar position.
  • Knowledge of testing approaches and techniques, ISTQB certification is an advantage.
  • Unix/ FreeBSD/ Linux administrator level knowledge.
  • Network knowledge in administrator level (Juniper or Cisco knowledge).
  • Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience in test automation is an advantage.
