Ericsson Hungary is looking for

Application Support Engineers

for the Tools and Services unit.

Our unit develops various applications supporting services delivered by Ericsson to its customers. The applications cover a wide scope including network planning and configuration; network performance monitoring and secure connection to external networks. In addition to the development, we provide marketing support and competence development related to our products. We also support the deployment of our applications by providing expert support to service delivery activities worldwide.

Main tasks:

• First and foremost satisfy users.
• Giving user support to Ericsson engineers: handling support tickets, service requests.
• Participation in daily operation of applications, proactive support, health check.
• Participation in application deployment (automation, configuration, update).
• Giving feedback to development team; design reviews with operation focus.
• Submitting trouble reports and assisting developers in troubleshooting.
• Participation in root cause analysis.
• Participation in operation acceptance activities.

Requirements:

• MSc or BSc degree in computer science, engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in Customer Support and troubleshooting.
• Experience in working with IIS, MS SQL, PowerShell.
• Good command of written and spoken English is a must.
• Good team player.
• Flexibility in work when needed.
• Never compromise quality and precision.

Advantage:

• ITIL certificate, ITIL mind-set (SO; IM, PM, CM).
• Experience in both Windows 2008/2012 and Linux server administration.
• Experience in working with ITSM tool.
• Experience in programming C#.
• Has experience in web application development
• Has experience with mobile application development (Android)

Sharepoint Support Engineer

who will be responsible for  keeping the SharePoint 2007/2010 and Project farms running at peak efficiency/uptime via monitoring, maintenance and incident management.

The job:

• Support the SharePoint 2007/2010 & Project plants to ensure proper performance, connectivity and accessibility.
• Utilize network monitoring tools to identify, diagnose and fix network issues.
• Identify areas of improvement and continually refine and improve our monitoring tools and processes.
• Use our ticketing system to document customer trouble cases, network incidents, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Work customer trouble tickets and coordinate escalations to engineering teams.
• Produce technical documentation to aid effective troubleshooting and provisioning.
• Prioritize and manage many customer trouble tickets and projects with minimal supervision.

The requirements:

• BSc degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• 5+ years Unix/Linux support and administration.
• 5+ years Windows Server support and administration.
• 5+ years of Enterprise SharePoint experience.
• Firm understanding of TCP/IP networking.
• Understand, create, and debug Shell and Perl.
• Understand, create, and debug batch and PowerShell.
• Highly focused on attention to detail.
• Must be able to effectively troubleshoot in a complex environment.
• Must take ownership of issues and pursue resolution of issues tenaciously.
• Must be an effective communicator and be able to disseminate information effectively and appropriately to a variety of audiences.

Windows Desktop Engineer

who will be responsible for supporting and ensuring the stability of over 180,000 desktops including laptops and virtual PCs.

The job:

• Work in a global technology group that delivers the software and hardware technology solutions that make the businesses run.
• The team manages the production, operations, and engineering of the data centers, voice and data networking solutions, wireless technologies, server and database operations, desktops, servers and mainframes.
• Provide service and support to internal teams and senior VIP clients on Windows Platform and desktop application-related issues.
• The role involves close cooperation with the Service Desk, desk side support teams, IT Security, Engineering, application programmers and third party vendors by handling escalations, providing documentation, and implementing new products.

The requirements:

• BSc degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Good knowledge of Windows OS internals.
• Working knowledge of networks.
• Experience in troubleshooting.
• System Center Control Manager (SCCM).
• Active Directory.

Windows Software Engineer

Windows Software Engineer

who will be responsible for designing, and operating a large, global Windows desktop and server infrastructure, which underpins business operations.

The job:

• Core infrastructure responsibilities, which require a solid understanding of operating systems, networking, and architectural concepts.
• Scripting and development, which requires experience in building and integrating complex, scalable software systems.
• Communication and client interaction, which is key to ensure that we are aligned with business requirements and delivering world class capability to our global clients, in partnership with our worldwide operations teams that provide 24×7 support and coverage.

The requirements:

• BSc degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Solid computer science fundamentals including networking, operating systems, distributed systems.
• Experience in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems, including developing and scripting on those platforms. (e.g. PowerShell, C#, VBScript)
• Good understanding of core Windows Infrastructure technologies (e.g. AD, DFSN, DFSR, SCOM, SCCM, CIFS/SMB).
• Passion for integrating software components to deliver global-scale solutions.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and innovative mindset.
• Ability to work with clients, gather requirements, and lead finding solutions.
